GBA is short for “Gig Brand Ambassador” – an independent contractor, who is a part of the Omni community of GBAs. GBAs use the Omni Marketplace to find Gigs – supporting the country’s best brands by providing contact center services, helping them solve problems, support customers, provide answers, or make sales.
Everyone is a GBA, no matter which account or client you are supporting.
Our GBAs offer support in customer service, tech support, sales, and back-office via phone, email, chat, text, and social media.
Omni doesn’t charge a fee to get access to the platform, complete certification, or provide contact center services as a GBA. All GBAs (independent contractors) must pass a background check. This background check is administered by one of our third-party vendors, which requires a non-refundable $40 fee to be paid by the potential contractor. You must use the same email address you registered with, or we will be unable to match your background check with your contract.
You can make $14+ an hour or more (top paying projects at $20/hour). The amount typically varies based on hours per week of servicing, as well as quality metrics.
Yes, you are your own boss. When onboarding, you will complete a Federal Form W-9 and you will receive a Federal Form 1099 at tax time.
You pick your schedule. Available service hours are released weekly. Omni requires all contractors to pre-select a minimum of 18 hours per week, 2 weeks in advance, to remain active on the platform. Shifts can be removed and added up to 48 hours prior to the start time.
