What is a Gig Brand Ambassador (GBA)?
A GBA is an independent contractor who partners with Omni Interactions to provide work-from-home customer service, tech support, sales, or back-office help for leading national brands. You choose the contracts that fit your skills, schedule, and preferences.
What kind of work can I do as a GBA?
GBAs support customers by phone, chat, email, or social media. Available remote contracts include inbound customer service, tech troubleshooting, appointment scheduling, and more.
Are GBAs considered employees?
No. GBAs are independent contractors, not employees. You’re in charge of your own schedule, business setup, and tax responsibilities. You’ll complete a Federal Form W-9 when you join, and receive a 1099 at tax time.
Does it cost money to join Omni?
There is no fee to sign up, browse contracts, or begin certification. However, all GBAs must pass a background check for a $40 USD non-refundable fee, handled securely through a third-party vendor.
How much can I earn as a contractor?
Most Omni contracts pay between $14–$20/hour depending on the project and performance. You control how many hours you commit to each week, so your earnings reflect your time and service quality.

Can I work from a different location during the year?
Yes, as long as the new location is in a supported U.S. state and meets Omni’s tech and home office requirements, you can transfer your business.
Can I work multiple programs at the same time?
