Maybe you want to work around school drop-off. Maybe you’re fitting contract work around another commitment. Or maybe you simply prefer working at certain times of day.
That’s the flexibility we’re talking about. You’re not necessarily being handed the same Monday-through-Friday schedule every week. You have a say in how your work fits into your life.
But Available Means Available
This is the part worth understanding before you sign up.
Contracts need support at particular times, so the hours available to choose from reflect when that support is needed. And those hours aren’t identical across every Omni contract.
One contract may offer options that fit your routine perfectly. Another might not. Availability can also change based on customer demand and other contract needs. That’s why it’s important to look at the specific opportunity, not just the promise of flexibility.
Once You Commit, It’s a Commitment
Choosing your hours gives you flexibility before you work them. Once you’ve committed to those hours, though, customers are counting on support being there.
Working as an independent contractor gives you more control, but it also asks you to manage that control responsibly. That’s the tradeoff. And for plenty of people, it’s exactly what makes contractor work appealing.
