GBA is short for “Gig Brand Ambassador” – an independent contractor, who is a part of the Omni community of GBAs. GBAs use the Omni Marketplace to find Gigs – supporting the country’s best brands by providing contact center services, helping them solve problems, support customers, provide answers, or make sales.

Everyone is a GBA, no matter which account or client you are supporting.

Our GBAs offer support in customer service, tech support, sales, and back-office via phone, email, chat, text, and social media.

Omni doesn’t charge a fee to get access to the platform, complete certification, or provide contact center services as a GBA. All GBAs (independent contractors) must pass a background check. This background check is administered by one of our third-party vendors, which requires a non-refundable $25 fee to be paid by the potential contractor. You must use the same email address you registered with, or we will be unable to match your background check with your contract.

You can make $14+ an hour or more (top paying projects at $20/hour). The amount typically varies based on hours per week of servicing, as well as quality metrics.

Yes, you are your own boss. When onboarding, you will complete a Federal Form W-9 and you will receive a Federal Form 1099 at tax time.

Payments are issued weekly. You can manage your own banking information through ADP, which you will receive during the onboarding process. Payments are made through direct deposit.

You pick your schedule. Available service hours are released weekly. Omni requires all contractors to pre-select a minimum of 18 hours per week, 2 weeks in advance, to remain active on the platform. Shifts can be removed and added up to 48 hours prior to the start time.

Omni recognizes the time investment contractors make to certify on available opportunities. Omni will reward contractors that fulfill their commitment and certify on new programs with a Production Incentive. Production Incentives are typically paid 3 weeks post certification, but will generally follow the regular earnings cycle.

    • Computer properties: Search for computer properties (be sure the results include processor speed and RAM info), take a screenshot of the results, save the screenshot, and upload the results to your application

  • Check your SPAM folder for email communications from Omni – unfortunately sometimes our emails get stuck in Spam filters.

The application process can take anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes. To complete the application, you’ll need to use the computer you plan to use as a contractor. See “What happens when I apply?” for more information on the full process.

iCIMS is our database for contractors to register with us, provide their contact information, attach their home office screenshots, as well as complete an assessment and voice audition. We use this database to communicate with you about client opportunities, send you emails, send out necessary paperwork, and sign you up for certification!

You will occasionally receive emails from iCIMS, as our Sourcing team reviews your qualifications, and follows up with a request for more information.
